25 Random Facts about Sky

We've been tagged recently :) Now it's my turn to give you some random facts that you probably don't know about me.

1. I'm originally from Cali.
2. I love getting tattoos but I hate the stereotypes that are associated with them.
3. I am a reggae music fanatic.
4. My favorite foods are Cuban and Puerto Rican cuisine.
5. I am a reef aquarium enthusiast and I have a 90gal reef in my living room.
6. My plan was to originally become a filmmaker. The next Spielberg to be exact.
7. I'm hooked on Call of Duty World at War (for the Wii.) You can find me online late at night (screen name is Nightmare.)
8. One of my favorite musicians is Jay-Z and I have almost every one of his tracks on my ipod.
9. I only drink Red Stripe beer.
10. I am a Mac guy but I've been tempted to switch to P.C. recently.
11. I love going fishing (fresh water and salt water)
12. I have watched The Lord of The Rings Trilogy more than 10 times.
13. I am a Leo.
14. I watch National Geographic and The Discovery Channel often.
15. I know how to c-walk and pop block. (Carla loves it...)
16. I am a NFL and MLB fan. San Diego Chargers + L.A. Dodgers.
17. I don't drink soda at all. I do love sweet tea.
18. I am left handed.
19. I drink coffee black. (no sugar or cream)
20. I love to cook Italian food.
21. I love Gumbo.
22. My first camera was an Olympus OM-10 manual slr. I broke it in Disney world :(
23. I am the oldest of 5 kids.
24. I have 2 beautiful daughters (Alyssa & Sofia)
25. I HATE chicken gristle.(getting sick just thinking about it)

Lindsay + Darren | Wedding

Recently I photographed Lindsay + Darren's wedding here in Atlanta. The weather was blazin' hot which is usual for a June wedding in Georgia, but luckily the event went smoothly and chilled out. I enjoyed experiencing the celebration and observing how close Lindsay + Darren are with their family and friends. Also the love and personal connection they share with each other. I took so many great photographs and I hope they will enjoy their wedding in pictures for many years to come.

What's up and a sneak peek!

Hello web surfers!

I just wanted to give you all a little update on what's going on with S+C since we haven't been the best of bloggers :) To be honest, I've been spending less time online and more time bettering myself for my family and business. I find that too much internet (social networks etc.) overwhelms me and kills not only my time but my inspiration. I've been reading a lot, spending quality time with my little girls, and listening to positive vibes like reggae music most of the day. I grew up listening to reggae, but now I'm diving into the meaning behind a lot of the music. One of my favorite bands is Steel Pulse, and I've recently started listening to Ooklah The Moc (amazing band out of Hawaii.) I'm also enhancing my photographic style by continuously shooting for myself and playing in my digital darkroom constantly. On top of that we are still pumping out photos, albums etc. and keeping our All*Star clients happy! We may be taking a vacation in a couple of months and I'm looking forward to some much needed R&R and a couple of good books to read.

I'm currently reading "The Path to Success Is Paved with Positive Thinking"- by Wally Amos (Thanks grammy!) This is a must read!

Sheena + Saip | E-session

Recently I shot my first engagement session of the summer with Sheena + Saip. We first met Sheena at Ashley + Kenny's wedding last year and we are excited to be photographing her + Saip's wedding this coming August. For the session, I met up with the couple downtown (ATL) and just hung out with them while they went for a romantic stroll. We stopped here and there for some relaxed portraits. It was definitely a beautiful warm day and a chilled out e session.

Robyn + Charles | wedding

Recently Carla and I shot another great wedding here in Atlanta with Robyn + Charles. We have known Robyn + Charles for a while now and they are two of the nicest and easy going people we have ever worked with. Robyn is also a wedding coordinator and did an amazing job planning every aspect of her wedding perfectly. They chose to have a very small wedding with only their closest family and friends which made the event very intimate and relaxing. No hustle and bustle, which made our job so much easier (Thanks Robyn!) Robyn + Charles also share a very special bond with one another and were so excited about their big day. Robyn told us she was so happy to finally be marrying her best friend. Charles was also enjoyable to work with. He has spent over two decades in the military and is very dedicated to his service. He also has a great sense of humor and kept everyone laughing the entire day. We couldn't stop giggling behind our cameras.
